Candidate for District 1
Ms. Patricia Spencer hails from Elmira, NY, and graduated from the Elmira Free Academy. She received her master’s degree in public administration, government management cum laude from Southeastern University in Washington, DC. She is currently employed at the Department of Energy, Office of Hearings and Appeals, where she is responsible for finance, budgeting, and personnel administration. Patricia is also a representative on the Department’s Diversity & Inclusion Council, the Minorities in Energy forum, and the Council on Women and Girls.
Ms. Spencer was voted Women of the Year for the American Business Women’s Association. She is a member of the Howard University Alumni Association and the Washington, DC Alumni Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Ms. Spencer has served as chairperson of the WDCA Scholarship Committee and on the Board of Directors as well as Shiloh Baptist Church.
Ms. Spencer has resided in Southwest for more than 30 years. She was elected to the Board of Directors of the Town Square Towers Condominium Association and served as president of the Association. Ms. Spencer was appointed a Board Director of SWNA to represent the first district in January 2014. She is seeking election to the Board for the first district and believes her professional experience and leadership would enhance the commitments of SWNA for an all inclusive community.
