For the past several years Southwest resident Bob Rose has dressed up his boat (and home) Digger to perform an amazing Pride show on the water. This year, with DC hosting International World Pride Day, Bob led the expansion from a one-boat show to a multi-boat parade hosted by The Wharf on Friday, June 6. Bob helped organize the parade, acting as parade marshall, and also capped off the end of the parade with his own unicorn-themed boat. The weather was perfect and all of the beautiful boats got a chance to spin by the Wharf and show off for the crowds. While all the boats were full of Pride spirit, Jazzy Lady and her owners Kelly and Mel, along with their friends including newlywed brides, secured top honors and won the Golden Unicorn statue and bragging rights as the best boat and crew in the parade.
