The “Pride of Baltimore II” docked in the Washington Channel on Oct. 18 to the sound of the ceremonial blast of the cannon fire salute. The 157-foot reproduction of a U.S. Navy ship used in the War of 1812 kicks off a two-year celebration of the bicentennial of that war. The ship spent six days in Southwest providing free deck tours to visitors. Photos by Perry Klein.
