The Southwest DC Community Center hosted its Fall Family Fest and third Annual Mutt Strutt. The event’s kickoff was a one mile “strutt” around Southwest. Charlene, the beagle, led the 30 “strutters” on to 4th Street SW, past the Duck Pond and back to the Lot. Live music, food trucks, caricatures and portraits, face painting and pet and family-friendly vendors made the whole day a success! Rural Dog Rescue’s pet adoption and the highly anticipated pet costume contest rounded out the day. Thanks to all the vendors, sponsors, participants and pups for making this a great event.
