The SW Emergency Preparedness Task Force is hosting an “Extreme Event” disaster preparedness exercise on Jan. 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the ground floor Community Room at the new St. Augustine Church at 555 Water St. SW.
Extreme Event is an in-person role-playing game that gives participants a taste of what it takes to build community resilience in the face of disaster. Players work together to make decisions and solve problems during an engaging, fast-paced disaster simulation. The scenario for this exercise will be a flood.
