Waterfront Village announced that the 6th annual Homes of the Southwest Waterfront home tour will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

“Extraordinary views of the Wharf are sure to be among highlights this year,” said Waterfront Village Executive Director Pam Troutman. “This year, we are especially excited to include several townhouses in Capitol Park Plaza. This year’s Home Tour really shines a light on the diversity of homes, architecture, design and the residents who live their lives here in Southwest.”

Proceeds from the popular annual self-guided walking tour will benefit Waterfront Village, an organization which supports older residents of Southwest DC and Navy Yard. Its services include transportation to medical appointments, prescription delivery, check-in visits and technology assistance, as well as cultural, wellness and social events.

Waterfront Village Board member and local realtor Andy Peers, who helped start the Tour in 2018, noted that the tour evolves a little bit each year as new opportunities arise. “I hope to see you on October 6 at St. Augustine’s Church at 555 Water Street SW, where the Tour will start,” said Peers.

To purchase tickets, visit waterfrontvillagehometours.org. Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door. Tour guests are asked to leave their pets at home. You can also learn more about the tour by calling Waterfront Village at 202-656-1834.
