On December 7, 2024, Le Quan Turner, a DC native and Southwest resident, embarked on an unforgettable adventure to Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, Lapland, Finland, where she crossed the Arctic Circle, joining the ranks of fearless Arctic explorers.
Having traveled solo to over 50 countries and all seven continents, Le Quan’s journey includes a remarkable 11-day expedition to Antarctica (South Pole) in 2023. During this trip, she participated in several thrilling excursions, including the Antarctic Plunge, where she braved water temperatures of just 2.4 degrees. She calls this experience “the most daring thing she has done in all her years as a solo world traveler.”
For Le Quan, travel is not only about exploring new places but also about self-discovery and connecting with the people and cultures she encounters along the way.
