The Southwest Library will receive a mini-makeover, including improvements to the Teen Space, installment of a new carpet, new paint and new furniture.
Library users with checked out books can renew or return them at any other D.C. Public Library location. Books can also be renewed online at dclibrary.org. The closest location for library services is the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library, located at 901 G St., NW Holds will also be available for pickup at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library.
In addition, the Southwest Library sadly announced the departure of Library Manager Kerby Valladares. Valladares is being transferred to the Francis Gregory Library in the Hillcrest neighborhood and will be missed dearly by the Southwest community.
