The Wyeths – Lyman, a movie star turned ambassador, and his wife Polly, a Hollywood screenwriter turned G.O.P. grande dame – gather to enjoy Christmas in their luxurious Palm Spring enclave with their son, Trip, a TV show producer, and Polly’s sister, Silda.
