The community garden recently built in Lansburgh Park was chosen to be the recipient of a holiday happy hour fundraiser to be held on Wednesday, December 4th, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Gordon Biersch brewpub at 100 M St SE. Southwest Community Gardens, a project of the Southwest Neighborhood Assembly, will be highlighted as the sponsored charity by Gordon Biersch, as the brewery and restaurant samples its new winter brew.
The event will feature live music, a raffle of exciting prizes, and updates about this great new garden project, including upcoming spring events and workshops. Gordon Biersch’s winter beer will be available to taste at a suggested donation to the garden.
