The Greenleaf Extensions Resident Council is offering Business and Technology training to residents who desire to enter the corporate workforce. Courses designed to teach participants how to compose corporate documents, perform Internet research, build databases, and enhance business communications will begin in January. The 12-week program incorporates typing proficiency, public speaking, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, professional etiquette, and hands-on technical labs. Classes meet two days each week for four hours each day. Daytime or evening classes are offered with lunch and dinner provided. While there is a cost to participate, many residents are eligible for full scholarships or grants.
