Being licensed as a Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) is an important step to taking advantage of economic opportunities arising from development. A wine and cheese informational/networking gathering for near SE and SW residents with CBE licenses will be held Oct. 6, 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Westminster Church located at 400 I St., SW.
The gathering, hosted by the Near SE-SW Community Benefits Coordinating Council (CBCC), will be an opportunity to bring together current and future CBE owners to learn about new opportunities arising from the SW Waterfront development and other projects in the area. All attendees will help to build the local network and advocate for local preferences. Information on how to become a licensed CBE will also be offered.
