December and January have seen Southwest youth on field trips to the National Christmas Tree near the White House, skating at Canal Park, and to Gaylord at National Harbor in Maryland.
The trips, all sponsored by the Assembly’s Youth Activities Task Force, have been funded by contributions largely from generous residents of Southwest sending tax-deductible donations to the Assembly’s PO Box 70131, Washington, DC, 20024.

7872jpg- King Greenleaf Recreation Center’s program “Young Ladies on the Rise” enjoyed an afternoon at the ICE show at Gaylord at National Harbor, Maryland. They were given large puffy parka jackets loaned by Gaylord to keep warm at the show.
