The classic Charles Dickens character this winter is not that poor crippled Tiny Tim from A Christmas Carol. It’s Oliver, an innocent orphan being trained to be a thief. Arena Artistic Director Molly Smith has brought one of the all time hits of musical theater here for the holidays!
The award-winning cast and crew for this special trip take us on a merry spin with a bunch of rogues through the seediest side of Victorian London, recreated with a modern touch.
“Consider Yourself” invited to join in this scrumptious feast of music, which opens with the classic “Food, Glorious Food.”
As Oliver learns that “You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two,” he also starts to wonder “Where is Love?”
From the rousing “Oom-Pah-Pah” to the romantic “As Long as He Needs Me,” this orphan and his gang of thieves will steal your heart.
