The Computer-for-Kids graduation was a remarkable experience not only because of the reason the community had come together, but because of the location: Lucky Kabob restaurant.

Lucky Kabob is an unpretentious Indian restaurant in Southwest on Q Street just off South Capitol Street. At a time when other nearby restaurants are opening to decidedly mixed reviews after much fanfare, Lucky Kabob quietly opened and established a solid reputation within the surrounding area. For those newcomers to Southwest, Lucky Kabob’s owner, Gurnam Singh, is the same entrepreneur who owned and operated the popular Lucky’s in the old Waterside Mall.

Participants and organizers of the Computer-for-Kids graduation wish to extend a very heartwarming thank you to Mr. Lucky, who graciously closed his dining room for the graduation ceremony.
