Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall’s Deputy Joint Base Commander Lt. Col. John Orille served as one of three judges at the annual Parade of Lighted Boats held at the Southwest Washington Marina on Saturday, December 7th, 2013.

Other judges included Theresa Belpulsi (left), Destination D.C. Vice President of Tourism, and Diane Groomes (right), Washington Metropolitan Police Dept. Assistant Police Chief. Nearly 40 boats competed in the parade that began at the Alexandria, VA, marina and traveled up the Potomac River to the Washington Channel.

The Best in Show was a boat entitled, “Monumental Christmas,” featuring lighted images of the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial.
