First grade students and their families from Amidon-Bowen Elementary were invited to attend a social event at the Southwest Duck Pond on May 16. Students and their families from Ms. Kirschenbaum and Ms. Roberts’ classes had a pleasant time with crafts, playing on the playground, and socializing. Their teachers believe that teaching involves more than just teaching the child, but also reaching out to families. This is their second social at the Duck Pond this year, and this one had the biggest turn out with about 40 attendees.
