Candidate for Secretary
Donna Purchase has been a Southwest resident since 1988 and currently serves as board secretary of the Southwest Neighborhood Assembly. Donna has more than 30 years of management experience in corporate and non-profit businesses. She has an extensive background in areas of program and resource development, corporate giving, employee relations and project management. A self-starter, she is skilled at negotiation, networking, and cultivating and stewarding donors. She has demonstrated sound strategic and political judgment and has experience in developing strategies for engaging and deploying volunteers. Donna retired from Fannie Mae in 2009 and has focused her energy serving non-profits in Washington, DC. She serves on the board of three local agencies and donates more than 1500 volunteer hours per year. She is the recipient of numerous awards including the Women’s Institute for Secure Retirement’s WISER Hero Award for her work in financial literacy.
